A young Penedés wine, fresh and expressive. It comes from a small vineyard planted over 12 years ago in one of the most interesting areas in Costers d'Ordal. The estate is made up of three terraces at 400m above sea level with extremely calcareous soil that brings out the best in the Xarel.lo variety, offering freshness and a great concentration of white and citric fruit aromas.

The non-addition of any sulphites at any time during the elaboration process means that the vineyard selection must be meticulous and, therefore, manual grape harvesting and picking is essential. Then in the cellar, first the must and then the wine will be kept in totally hygienic and aseptic conditions, protecting it at all times from inert gases, avoiding contact with the air to impede irreversible oxidation and achieve the most natural expression that can be achieved with a wine made from Xarel.lo from our lands in Costers d'Ordal. Fermented using indigenous yeasts.

I loved it, my wife not so much

I loved this. I was quite deep with earthiness and a really interesting flavour. Quite a big minerally flavour. Colour quite a deep yellow (thought I'm used to very light whites). Just what I wanted at the time and really enjoyed it especially with a fairly rich scallop then halibut dish I was eating.. My wife however wasn't so keen and wanted something crisp and fresh like a picpoul (which she opened and drank!) and after one sip of this was pretty clear it wasn't what she wanted.. I love Chablis and I think this is similar. My wife doesn't, so that makes sense...
