A family run business, headed by owner and winemaker, Zmago Petrič, they are hardworking and stubborn, striving to keep the vineyards the same as did their forefathers; healthy, in good order and in the midst of genuine nature. Vineyards are at high altitude on the steep southern slopes of the Vipava Valley, subjected to the heat of the sun and cooled by the prevailing northern winds.
Cabernet Franc grown in vineyards at Zavrh at an altitude of 250 - 350 meters above the sea level on soils full of marine sedament. The vines face south and are planted on terraced vineyards and vines are around 8 years old. Vineyards are worked organically and since 2011 also biodynamically.
After the hand harvest of biodynamically produced grapes a four week maceration of crushed grapes, spontaneous fermentation with natural yeast already present on the grapes and malolactic fermentation. There is then a one year maturation of the wine in used French oak barriques. Bottling according to Maria Thun moon calendar.
