Festive Season's Wines | Case of 6/12 Natural White Wines | Low Sulphur & Vegan Friendly

We all want a celebrate a magical Christmas, and one of the best ways to enjoy the festivities is with truly spectacular Christmas Day lunch. But with all the stress building up to the big day, would you really be prepared to spend your Boxing Day struggling with the side-effects of sulphites?

So this case is a combination of 6 classic festive white wines, all vegan friendly and made with minimal intervention and sulphites added. Not only that, if you are preparing something traditional, or something a little exotic this year, all these wines will match everyone's main focal point of lunch.

Their will be either 1 or 2 bottles of each wine in this case:

  • Batillu Biu Blanc Riesling, Pyranes, Spain;
  • Pheasant's Tears Rkatsiteli, Georgia; with its golden amber in the glass with a nose of wild honey. Despite the gloriously sweet appearance this wine is dry, unexpectedly but definitely pleasantly. Its a Fuller bodied white wine, and noticeable in the mouth with subtle notes of walnut and apricot.
  • Chateau Petit Roubie Picpoul de Pinet, Coteaux du Languedoc, France; this dry organic white wine offers a pale gold colour with shiny reflections of pearly green. The complex nose combines with dominant floral aromas, a white peach scent and exotic pineapple flavours. It's round and bold, it's lively in the mouth. Its acid-alcohol balance highlights its fruity aromas. The final note, long and fat leaves suggestive notes of citrus fruits and white fruits.
  • Riesling Kabinett Trocken Stefan Sander, Rheinhessen, Germany; I'm sure your thinking, anoter Riesling, but this one is very different from the first! This award winning Kabinett is dry and fairly light with gorgeous and vibrant tropical fruits such as pineapple, juicy yellow pears, lime acidity and a refreshing spritz. Made with grapes grown on 25-year-old vines on slopes facing eastwards to the Rhine. The soil is chalky with good humus content giving the vines a good balance of nourishment and minerals.
  • Ciu Ciu Pecorino Merlettaie, Piceno, Offida, Italy; this organic Pecorino is greeny-yellow and has a pleasant floral nose with clean, refined aromas of banana, apple, hazelnut and plum followed by a hint of vanilla. The mouth follows the nose, a slightly round attack however balanced, agreeable crispness, good body and intense flavours.
  • Vale da Capucha Branco Blend, DOC Torres Vedras, Portugal; this Portuguese white wine has a light golden colour with hints of honey, peach stone and pink grapefruit and balanced acidity. Try this as an alternative to a sweet dessert wine or a Gewurztraminer. We'd recommend to pair it with more intense flavoured foods with spices and herbs such as coriander, ginger, fennel and mint, but it also works incredibly with both soft goats and cows milk cheeses and more mature substantive cheese also.

    We hope you enjoy these classic natural white wines, and wish you the best, health and happiness over this festive period!
