A bucolic wine, not for the faint hearted but I like it

It is a fairly full bodied relaxed feel wine, not a pink tinged watery rose. If you have been to Sicily you would call it a "local country wine" I suppose. It wouldn't be an obvious choice in a blind tasting but it has a come hither edge and suckers you in to some fruity and enduring tasty highs. It needs tasty food to keep it company like so many Italian wines. I agree with the other reviewer, it is down to personal taste and in my case, this wine fits with my rustic cooking very nicely.

Ciello Rosato 2016 Nero d'Avola

This is my first review (ever) on this website or for any wine...I am no expert, by any measure, although am keen to learn as much as I can , so hopefully my Reviews may improve with experience! Don't be put off by my score, it's personal and what attracts one to a certain wine may not be as attractive to someone else, and vice versa. I have scored this 3/5 purely because my love of Wine stems from Whites and Roses, I am not overly keen on Red Wines and therein lies my score...the description for this wine is accurate, it is a very red berry/fruity rose whose allegiance lies distinctly with the Red in its family more than the white... i enjoyed it, don't regret buying, and will likely purchase again, however my enjoyment of this wine increased when drinking a glass in the evening, curtains drawn and in the warmth, during this colder Autumn evenings...it has the feel to me of an Autumn/Winter 'warmer', rather than my preferred lighter Provencal style Rose to enjoy in the Spring and Summer. So...not bad at all, 3/5 due to my own personal preference rather than any lack of quality in the wine...enjoy!
