Can your wine be more local than this? From Surrey Hills to your table - meet this fantastic Rose wine from Albury Vineyards. It is organic and biodynamic.
Silent Pool rosé is a still wine made exclusively from hand picked organic Pinot Noir and Pinot Meunier grapes (single vineyard!). Its first vintage was served on board the Royal barge to celebrate the Diamond Jubilee, and the 2014 vintage won a gold award in the UKVA Wine of the Year competition.
Silent Pool Rosé is an elegant, fresh, classically pink-hued still Rosé wine made from Pinot Noir and Pinot Meunier grapes. On the nose it opens with alluring aromas of strawberry, light cherry and peach followed by flavours of red fruits and pink grapefruit that meld with layers of clean minerality. The wine displays enticing flavours of raspberry, honey, crisp apple and bright citrus on the mid-palate, with balanced acidity and a long finish.
"English pink. Crisp early season strawberries and cherries. So delicious.” Victoria Moore, Daily Telegraph

Silent Pool is a lake of crystal clear water adjacent to the vineyard.
Natural filtration leaves the water completely clear with a lovely blue-green colour. According to local legend a beautiful maiden drowned there, escaping the clutches of King John, and now haunts the Silent Pool. Wowza!
Albury Organic Vineyard, headed up by Nick Wenman is situated on the southern slopes of the North Downs near Guildford in an area of outstanding natural beauty. Biodynamic techniques are used to enhance the quality of fruit, and we're delighted to be able to offer this vintage of rosé which is only produced in tiny quantity.
