Semplicemente Vino Rosso by Stefano Bellotti, Barbera Dolcetto, Piedmont, Italy (no added sulphites)

An ultimate triumph of natural winemaking, Stefano Bellotti's red wine made without added sulphites. This natural red wine is fresh and lively bursting with dark berry flavours. Very deep youthful purple colour.

Striking nose of blackberries, dark chocolate, and a touch of aromatic spices. The wine is smooth, round and fruity with a nicely balanced acidity / tannin structure, with vivid flavours of red plums. Beautiful ripe strawberry fruit on the tart finish.

Food Match: Red and white meats, stews, tomato based dishes, pasta.

Stefano Bellotti is one of the most prominent figures on a natural winemaking scene in Italy. His range of wines produced from his biodynamic certified vineyards Degli Ulivi, first certificate was obtained back in 1984.

In addition to grapes, the estate has a diversified production of fruits, vegetables and cereals, and keeps a variety of farm animals. Stefano Bellotti began as an eighteen year old in 1977, reclaiming the family farm where there was less than 1 hectare of vineyard in existing use.

Please note that this wine is 100% Natural. It means that it’s taste and flavours are different from what you can expect of conventional wine. This wine is vibrant, playful, can contain a bit of fizz and sometimes naturally occurring sediment. We recommend to aerate it and sometimes lightly chill.

Certified organic and biodynamic by CCPB, Demeter.
