The case contains 6 organic red wines, 4 organic white wines, 1 organic rose and 1 bottle of our delicious French Cremant. We have carefully selected the following wines to help offer some traditional Christmas flavours:

  • Chateau du Cedre Malbec, Cahors, France; an honest and sincere, fresh and enlivening, tender and generous dry red wine. A well-stocked fruit basket with plums, cherries and blackberries, enriched by fresh lemon zest and spices, supported by tangy minerality. An inviting dry red wine wine for an excellent dinner as the 2014 vintage is truly delicious with more complexity, herbs and spices.
  • Cuvee des Galets Rouge, Coteaux de Pays du Gard, France - it's an incredibly simple wine, thats loved by a many of our customers. It's very juicy with a soft, slightly cloudy purple colour and gentle flavours of blackberry, liquorice, pepper and nutmeg
  • Ottavio Rube Vino Rosso, Piedmont, Italy - in the glass the wine is an intense ruby red. It displays fresh aromas, a dry and pleasantly bitter-ish taste in which there are recurrent hints of roses and in which the fruitiness is successfully wedded to the tang of tannin. It is a blend of Barbera, Dolcetto and Croatina, and this natural red wine is fresh, with abundance of red fruit (especially red sour cherries) and floral aromatics. Tannins are softened a bit in the old casks, but noticeable.
  • Animae Cabernet, Veneto, Italy; with a ruby red in colour with violet hints, this sulphite free Cabernet from Veneto is carefully produced with temperature control and without preservatives. 10% of the wine was aged in oak barrels so it has a very elegant structure and some pleasant oaky vanilla notes. Subtle hints of red fruit, herby aromas are making this organic red wine very pleasant with gentle and lighter tannins.
  • Bodegas Parra Jiménez Graciano, Castilla-La Mancha, Spain - an organic wine that is made from a special parcel of grapes, fermented and aged in stainless steel vats. Red wine with a deep ruby red colour with generous aromas of plum and black cherry. This flavoursome red wine has notes of prunes, dates and savoury elements back up with gutsy tannins. This organic red wine is fresh and uncomplicated, perfect for everyday dining. Flavour profile is striking fresh red fruit with refreshing acidity and dark cherries.
  • Pheasant's Tears Saperavi, Georgia - a bold, earthy, dry red with flavours of black currant and toasted almond with an elegant, natural tannic structure. Glorious red wine from the motherland of wine - Georgia.
  • Cave de Ribeauville Pinot Blanc, Alsace, France; a very clear and pure organic Pinot Blanc, elegant citrus and floral flavours with just a tiny touch of oiliness. It actually helps to match this white wine's refreshing acidity very well. Floral aromas with a rich, ripe and fruity fresh palate with waxy highlights, a medium body with a dry and nutty finish. It has been a warm vintage, so expect riper fruit and more pronounced floral notes.
  • Castello di Tassarolo Gavi 'Spiniola', Piedmont, Italy; this Gavi is a classic white with delicate stone and orchard fruit and some mineralogy. We personally think that it tastes like a good but still sparkler - you do not get bubbles, but instead rich biscuit and nutty flavour profile. Soft apple-crumble flavours, lasting quite long on the palate with its crumbly biscuits, tangy and broad not spritzy and lean, with an enveloping savouriness.
  • Nosso Verdejo, Bodegas Menade, Castilla Y Leon, Spain; the wine itself is dry and balanced with some bitter, but enjoyable white flower and mineral touches which are typical of a Verdejo. Round with volume, the natural acidity holds a long and elegant finish.
  • Armador Sauvignon Blanc, Casablanca, Chile; this wine is all about persistent aromas of citrus fruit and gooseberry on the nose. On the palate this a crisp, zesty, lively wine full of juicy grapefruit with vibrant acidity. The cool climate of Casablanca ensures a crisp and fresh style of Sauvignon Blanc with pronounced aromatics.
  • Cerasuolo Senzaniente Montepulciano D'Abruzzo, Italy; this no added sulphites rose wine from Montepulciano D'Abruzzo DOC has brighter and deeper colour, is juicy, fresh and fragrant with notes of strawberries, some red berries and hints of cherries.Made of 100% Montepulciano and macerated for just 8 hours to deliver elegance and freshness. It is a amazing natural rose wine that is produced without any additives, any preservatives and almost completely sulphite free.
  • Domaine Klur Cremant d'Alsace, France; a traditional Crémant with the benefit of no added sulphites. This French sparkling wine has an astonishingly fruity aromas of apple and some delicious brioche. Flavours of green apple, citrus fruit are combines into a fine bouquet, so you can enjoy its long, dry and soft finish.

We hope you enjoy these traditional organic wines, and wish you all the best, health and happiness over this festive period!
