Taste of Organic Pinot Noir: Case of 6 Organic Pinot Noir Wines

How about a very common grape from a few very different locations? If you love pinot noir and your feeling a little bit adventurous that this is the case if wine for you.

All 3 wines are certified organic and vegan friendly and all 3 are made naturally with no sulphites added during the wine making process. There is only a minimal amount added to each simply at the bottling stage.

With pinot noir being a characteristically lighter grape, it thrives in milder climates and can make some incredible and delicate wine. But then again, that doesn't mean that its not abke to grow, thrive and offer a different taste sensation when its cultivated somewhere hot! These wines prove that in bucket loads!

Try them at room temperature, try them slightly chilled. The choice is yours.

This case contains:

  • 2 bottles of Vin d'Alsace Pinot Noir from France - very juicy red wine, with lighter body as compared to most reds, but will definitely be a good food rose. It has complex aromas of black cherries and vanilla. Great structure with fine velvety smooth tannins.
  • 2 bottles of Pinot Noir Cuvee 'Village', Languedoc, France - this is a fresh style of pinot noir made with precision by the pioneer of the variety in the Languedoc since 1988. This elegant medium bodied red wine is made from carefully selected grapes from the second picking. It has a soft and almost understated red colour, that is perfectly matched with its round and polished bouquet of ripened red fruits. On the palate, strawberries, cherries and lighter red fruits burst in the mouth with tiny hints of grenadine and white pepper in the finish that doesn't linger.
  • 2 bottles of Petit Clos Pinot Noir, Marlborough, New Zealand - floral notes of lavender and dried rose petal show on the nose followed by berry fruits and savoury aromas. The wine has good balance of freshness and richness with supple tannins, flavours of tangy cherry and a lightly wooded finish. It has some bitterness too, that goes along with its fruity side really well. 2016 vintage is new and round, juicy and more ripe than 2015, with an additional light bitterness.
